Profiles: The Minimalists

“Love people and use things, because the opposite never works.”

The Minimalists consist of Joshua Fields Milburn & Ryan Nicodemus, two genuinely interesting guys who figured out that less truly is more. They quit their corporate jobs, got rid of most of their stuff, followed their passions, began to write, started a blog, did some interviews, published a book, went on tour, published more books — and then made a documentary about all they’d learned along the way. On top of that, they also run a popular podcast, a minimalist website, and have even (recently) launched their own animated YouTube series. What don’t these guys do? Well, they don’t value possessions over people or bring more items into their lives than they can actually use.

  1. I’m always downsizing, but my kids are always upsizing! Little do they know that a lot of my downsizing is their upsizing!
