Spring Clean in the Drop-Down

Did some general sprucing up of both About section pages and the Health Hacks intro page. Then I took a two hour nap, as one does. That’s all for today.

  1. Hello there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog. Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do you have any points or suggestions? Appreciate it!

    1. Hey there, Delois!

Totally not off topic and a great question. I knew nothing, like absolutely ZERO about setting up my own blog/website when I started. Honestly? It’s a lot of reading, watching YouTube tutorials, and tinkering around until you get the hang of things. I chose MochaHost as my webhost because they offered tons of support — the fact that they’re green didn’t hurt either. You’ll also have to find someone to set up your website URL (and protect it). For that I chose GoDaddy and they’ve been really clear communicators. I am not technically inclined — and I only knew a wee bit of HTML (we’re talking the most common tags here). At the end of the day, if I can do it, anyone can. I find WordPress is a good platform, and they are great about providing information, modern designs, plug-in options, and all the other stuff you will need (e.g., counters, spam filters, backups). Feel free to email me anytime with specific questions though! I totally encourage you to take the plunge! 🙂
